In-Transit Permits

In transit permits allow you to move/ship an unregistered vehicle within Canada.

How to get an In-Transit Permit

To get an in-transit permit, you must provide:

  • Proof of ownership
  • Proof of valid insurance
  • Description of the vehicle, as well as
    • serial number,
    • make
    • year

An in-transit permit only lasts 7 days. The distance from location A to B will determine how long the permit is registered for.
